University of Michigan Health System – Cardiovascular Center

The University of Michigan Health System’s Cardiovascular Center (CVC) is the home of all heart, vascular and stroke care, research and education at The University of Michigan. The CVC was named one of the nation’s top 25 cardiovascular centers in the country in 2006 and is part of the reason why the U-M Health System was named one of the nation’s top 100 hospitals in 2007.

This state-of-the-art facility, along with its premier medical staff and highly-acute patient population, is supported by a cable infrastructure installed and certified by the CTEC staff. This facility that has more than 6,000 category 5e cables supporting 2,000+ voice data locations all built upon a solid, single mode and multimode fiber optic backbone supporting 28 telecommunication rooms. Each of the 28 rooms are equipped with 8’ equipment racks and cable tray support allowing for a very crisp and easily managed infrastructure.
